Updates
Mr. Sassin came to Bastrop ISD from Akins High School in Austin ISD, where he served
as an Assistant Principal. Before Adkins, he was an education Specialist for Region 13,
an Associate Principal for Westlake High School, an Associate Principal for Clear Lake
and Clear Creek High Schools, and an Assistant Principal, Facilitator and Coordinator of Alternative Eduation for Alvin High School, in Alvin ISD. He began his teaching career at Angleton ISD, teaching World Geography before moving to teach World Geography and Economics at Alvin High School.

Mr. Sassin obtained a Bachelor degree in History from Sam Houston State and a Masters in Science in Education Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake.
In his spare time, Mr. Sassin enjoys reading, listening to music, going to movies, and spending time with friends and family. His favorite times are spent with his son, Garrett, who is a second grader at Alvin ISD in the Houston area.
